Heavyweight boxing contender Tyson Fury has produced one of the upsets of the decade by defeating now former champion Wladimir Klitschko.
The heavyweight showdown took place in Germany, where Klitsckho has fought the majority of his professional bouts. This did little to faze Fury, who won by unanimous decision after the pair slugged it out over 12 rounds.
Despite being deducted a point for a shot to the back of Klitschko's head, Fury showed great signs of determination and grit to test the champion and even draw blood.
Klitschko looked ragged and worn out after the fight, raising concerns about ageing and not being able to compete with the younger generation of heavyweight boxers.
Fury was clearly emotional after his incredible upset victory while singing to his wife Paris, who announced she was pregnant just hours before the heavyweight clash.
Klitschko had an unprecedented reign as champion, his last professional loss coming in 2004. His latest loss to newly crowned champion Fury was his 28th career world title defense.
This leaves question marks over the future of "Dr Steelhammer", as his plans to unify the heavyweight titles before retiring are now presumably scrapped. Whether or not he would contemplate retirement at 39 years old, or opt for an immediate rematch with Fury is yet to be known.
Congratulations Tyson Fury on doing the impossible.
